As You May Sense – Environment, Data & Contamination
Exhibition in collaboration with the Helsinki Biennial 2023 and Uniarts Helsinki Research @ White Studio, Helsinki Academy of Fine Arts
'Lähteenmäki wishes to destabilize the perception of the imagined nature vs. the industrialized. He argues that scientification and industry drove forests into quantifiable units and cultivation models, which serve as the basis for visual exploration in his practice. Points, grids, and patterns overlaid on terrain also become the starting points for his methodology of research.' – Jussi Parikka professor, Aarhus University & Samir Bhowmik academy researcher, Uniarts Helsinki
